The Axiotes Report

Hello!

My name is Michael Axiotes, and I am a high school science teacher. I live in Northern New Jersey—born and raised. I went to the University of Delaware and graduated with an Honors B.S. in Biochemistry; afterwards, I started to seek a career in science education.

I hope you will consider subscribing to The Axiotes Report, my latest—and greatest— writing endeavor.

I have always been interested in writing, but in college, writing turned from a hobby to a passion for me. I became a Writing Fellow for the University of Delaware’s Honors College where I learned to tutor writing, and the training and experience from that program gave me the confidence I needed to write more myself. I knew I could write a decent college essay, but I never had the confidence to start a whole newsletter.

During college, I started a newsletter that I called “The Traumatically Injured Brain” and ran it for about a year, but I let various life events interrupt my rhythm; and I will never again. I think I had trouble continuing that newsletter because I was forcing myself to stay on theme too much—hence my new generalized branding.

On the bright side, I have thoughts on many topics and I will never fail to keep you on your toes with what I might write next.

Yours Truly,

Mike
